Conservation area – consultation on draft appraisals

The conservation and urban design team are currently undertaking a review of the borough’s 29 conservation areas. Detailed surveys have been completed for the conservation areas listed below, to provide a comprehensive statement of each area's 'special interest', that is its social, economic, architectural, archaeological and natural character, past and present.

Conservation area (CA) draft appraisals: Creffield CA (pdf, large file, 10.9MB)

If you are an interest group known to the council you will have been contacted in the preparation of the current draft appraisals. Residents within, and in some cases adjacent to, the conservation areas listed below will be invited by letter to contact the conservation and urban design team in December 2006 to comment on these draft appraisal documents.

Replies should be sent in writing to the conservation and urban design team by the following dates:

Creffield CA – 19 January 2007

You can also view hard copies of the draft appraisals by calling in person to the planning reception. (Note the office will be closed between 22 December 2006 and 3 January 2007). Alternatively please telephone (020) 8825 9357 or 6395 for further advice about viewing the draft appraisals or for general project information.

Following the consultation phase, which includes an assessment of comments received, final versions of these conservation area appraisals will be produced and adopted for council use by April 2007. News about the programme for future conservation area reviews will be posted here in the New Year.
